Sea Eagles claim sports day triumph

Sea Eagles triumphed as Crossways Lutheran School held its sports day last week.

Students from all classes took to the oval to compete in a variety of track and field events.

Sea Eagles won the day with 1524 points, ahead of Kingfishers on 1393 and Ospreys on 1182.

The overall boys points winner was Jaheim Coleman-Scott with 78 points and the girls winner was Belle Bowden on 68.

Jaheim finished four points clear of Chase Sleep to also be named senior boy champion, while senior girl champion Belle was eight ahead of Charlotte Harre-Temby.

Korbin Keanelly was the junior boy champion on 45 points as runner-up Jonathan Wells finished on 36.

Katy Yookhong was junior girl champion with 45 points, nine clear of Isobel Wright.

The intermediate boy champion was Jai Freeman with 64 points, while Braxton Gray was the runner-up with 58.

Ciarah Colbung was the intermediate girl champion on 66 points – one ahead of Gabriella Masierowski.
