Bunge has reached a significant milestone in South Australian operations, with grain exports from the state exceeding 2.5 million tonnes for the 2025-26 season.
According to the company’s monthly receivals report, Bunge’s total receivals across South Australia during the period from 2 February to 1 March reached 71,470 tonnes, bringing the total for the season to 5,618,640 tonnes.
The report highlighted the strong performance of Bunge’s ports on Eyre Peninsula at Port Lincoln and Thevenard, with the company recently celebrating the loading of 1 million tonnes of grain on to 24 vessels destined for 13 countries around the world.
“Our teams have been working hard to move grain to port and load it onto vessels, ensuring we can meet the demand from the seven exporters sourcing and shipping grain from the region,” Bunge senior supply chain manager Derek Robjohns said.
In addition to the Eyre Peninsula ports, Bunge’s Adelaide and Yorke Peninsula ports have also played a significant role in the company’s exports, with 800,000 tonnes and 680,000 tonnes of grain loaded, respectively.
“Across our six ports, we have loaded more than 60 vessels destined for end users in 25 countries, while also outturning to deliver grain to our domestic customers,” Mr Robjohns added.
