Deliveries to Viterra sites in the western region continue to flow through this harvest season.
Barley and lentils have made up the largest share of deliveries, with a number of sites receiving their first deliveries in the opening two weeks of November.
These included Eyre Peninsula sites Witera, Port Neill, Elliston, Wirrulla, Buckleboo, Darke Peak, Poochera and Edillilie.
More than 345,000 tonnes have been delivered in the Western region and 591,515 tonnes to the whole Viterra network.
Viterra’s general manager of operations Gavin Cavanagh said in the past week the Western region had been very busy.
“Our Western and Central regions again received most of the tonnes delivered during the week, with most activity at our Wallaroo and Cummins sites, followed by Ardrossan, Tumby Bay and Thevenard,” he said.
Mr Cavanagh said barley, wheat and lentils were making up most deliveries to Viterra.
“Barley and lentil deliveries remain strong, and we are seeing growers starting on their wheat, with deliveries of the commodity increasing to make up around a third of tonnes last week.”
Mr Cavanagh added canola was also starting to come in at various sites.
