Foreshore festive for Tumby Carols

The Tumby Bay Interchurch Council, in partnership with the District Council of Tumby Bay, Tumby Bay Progress Association, and Tumby Bay Lions Club, hosted a successful Christmas carols celebration on Sunday, 14 December.

Approximately 400 people attended the event, and the food stalls were well-received.

The funds raised will support Foodbank, which works to reduce food waste and provide food relief to those in need. The Foodbank truck plans to return in 2026.

This year, the junior primary students from the Tumby Bay Area School performed, showcasing their learning about the first Christmas during the Scripture Union Lunchtime Group, as well as a dance routine with some Elvis Presley-inspired moves about ‘The King’ being born at Christmas.

The event also featured a special guest, Tim ‘The Magician’ Raymond, who travelled from Whyalla to entertain the crowd with his tricks. He also delivered a short message challenging the audience to look beyond their first impressions and reflect more deeply on the true meaning of the festive season.

The Tumby Bay carols celebration was a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the holiday season.
