Cummins Christmas Tree

Cummins Yeelanna RSL is adding to the Christmas events in Cummins with the Christmas Tree display open until 19 December. Each day the display is open from 10am to 3pm. Entry is a gold coin donation per person. Voting by silver coin for the most popular Christmas tree is a fundraiser for the Cummins RSL. Competition categories are personal tree (individual entry), business tree, community group entry and novelty tree. Children and youth are invited to enter a Christmas-themed LEGO creation as a separate category for judging. Text 0439 870 066 for details about putting in an entry.

Cowell Christmas pageant

Lions Club of Cowell is hosting the Christmas Pageant on Wednesday 24 December. Be part of the pageant, with excellent prizes for floats, decorated bikes, walking groups, gophers and classic vehicles. Meet at the bowling club at 6pm to register, with the pageant to start at 6.45pm.

Family Fish Day

Head along to the Streaky Bay jetty on Saturday 3 January 2026 for the annual Family Fish Day event. Registration is from 8am, with the fishing competition from 9am to 11am – scaled fish only. Cash prizes and trophies for anglers aged three to 17. This free community event is hosted by Streaky Bay Tourism and Business Association – for more information, contact tourism@streakybay.com.au.

Smoky Bay fete

Come along for the Smoky Bay Strawberry Fete at Smoky Bay Community Club on Sunday 11 January. More details to follow. To book a stall, email smokybayclub@outlook.com.

Streaky Bay Tourism & Business Association AGM

Streaky Bay Tourism & Business Association will host its annual general meeting on Tuesday 13 January at 6.30pm in the Streaky Bay Hotel’s Mudge Room. This will be followed by a general meeting at 7pm. All members are welcome. For more information, contact tourism@streakybay.com.au.

Men’s catch up

Our Town Kimba hosts a men’s catch up each Tuesday for morning coffee, toasties and a chat from 10am to 11.30am.

RSL bingo

Cowell RSL Sub-Branch holds bingo each Tuesday at 7pm. $15 for 10 games with tea and coffee provided.

Busyfingers Craft Group

Ceduna’s Busyfingers Craft Group meets at Ceduna Men’s Shed every Friday from 10.30am to 2pm and people are welcome to bring along any project they would like to. Members have a range of skills from quilting/patchwork, knitting, crocheting, card making, diamond dots, embroidery and more. A small fee of $3 is charged per week. Blue Water Raiders Dragon Boat Club

Come and join the group for a morning paddle in the beautiful calm waters of Tumby Bay. The dragon boaters meet every Sunday, weather permitting, at 7.45am, at the Tumby Bay marina boat ramp. No experience is necessary, with life jackets and paddles supplied. Enjoy a single paddle or become a new member.
