Ceduna Hospital and Village Auxiliary AGM

The 2025 Ceduna Hospital and Village Auxiliary annual general meeting will be hosted today, Thursday 6 November at the Ceduna Anglican Church Hall from 10am for morning tea and 10.30am for the AGM, followed by a general meeting. All are welcome – come and join an enthusiastic group working together to assist the wellbeing of patients and residents of the hospital and the village. Combined Probus Club meeting

The next meeting of the Combined Probus Club of Port Lincoln is on Friday 7 November at 9.30am at the Port Lincoln Bowling Club. All are welcome.

Cummins Memory Cafe

The next Cummins Memory Café is in the Cummins Yeelanna RSL Hall from 10am to noon on Friday 7 November. Enjoy information sharing, entertainment and morning tea. From 10am to 10.30am join in with the library’s Baby Bounce group at the Railway Triangle for some bubbly fun – weather permitting. Then have a chat over morning tea at the RSL Hall and meet local policeman Brevet Sergeant Ben Burgess. This is a free event supported by Cummins Lions Club and Cummins Op Shop.

Port Lincoln Social Dance

Port Lincoln Social Dance will take place on Saturday 8 November at the North Shields Memorial Hall from 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Come and experience all styles of dance – ballroom, Latin, new vogue, rock & roll and country dance hall, with DJ music. There will be a shared country supper and family fun for everyone, plus a lucky door prize. Also, there are practice opportunities every Tuesday afternoon from 4pm to 6pm – come and give it a try, for social fitness and fun. Contact 0455 269 565 for more information.

Denial Bay Jetty Market

A new date for the Denial Bay Jetty Market has been announced, after it was postponed due to weather conditions. Head along to the Denial Bay foreshore on Sunday 9 November from 10am to 2pm to find items from a wide variety of stalls. All are welcome to come along. Stallholders can set up from 8.30am.

Friends of Parnkalla Walking Trail AGM

Rachael Kannussaar will be the guest speaker talking about shorebird conservation on Eyre Peninsula at Friends of Parnkalla Walking Trail annual general meeting on Monday 17 November at 7pm. The presentation will include information on both resident shorebirds and migratory shorebirds. The meeting will be held at the Senior Citizens Hall at 3 Hallett Place and refreshments will follow the meeting.

Dirt circuit racing

Ceduna Dirt Circuit Club is back for another night of high-octane action at Andoc Park, on Denial Bay Road, on Saturday 22 November. This is the Glen Bates Memorial Race. Gates open at 4pm and racing starts at 7pm. Full bar and canteen facilities available. Entry is $10 for adults, and kids under 16 get in free.

Nurses lunch

The next lunch for retired and semi-retired nursing staff from Port Lincoln Health Service will be held on Monday 24 November at noon at the Marina Hotel. This will be the last one for the year, so organisers look forward to seeing many people there. RSVP to Shirlene on 0429 056 140 by Friday 21 November for booking.

Elliston Markets

The Elliston Markets will be held on Saturday 29 November at the Elliston Parklands near the RSL building. For stall applications please contact Sam Agars on 8687 9200 or info@elliston.com.au, or drop into the Elliston Community & Visitor Information Centre.

Ceduna Christmas Market

The 2025 Ceduna Christmas Market will take place in the Ceduna Memorial Hall on Friday 5 December and Saturday 6 December. Stall applications to Chris Gascoyne on 0428 252 991 or c.gascoyne@bigpond.com, or to Lauren McEvoy on 0421 191 606 or lkmcevoy.94@gmail.com.

Ceduna Hospital and Village Auxiliary Christmas Raffle

Tickets for the Ceduna Hospital and Village Auxiliary Christmas Raffle are on sale and can be purchased from auxiliary members and at different business locations around Ceduna. Tickets are $2 each. First prize is $250, second prize is $150 and third prize is $100. The raffle will be drawn on Friday 12 December at the cake/produce stall out the front of the Ceduna Memorial Hall.

Chandada 100th Christmas Tree

Chandada Memorial Hall will host a milestone Christmas Tree celebration, on Sunday 14 December from 4pm until late. All past and present families and friends of the Chandada community are invited to join in celebrating this historic event. The evening will include a community performance, Santa visit, full bar facilities, dinner (cost by donation), stalls, raffles, photo booth and more. Carols by the Beach

Tumby Bay’s Carols by the Beach will take place on Sunday 14 December. There will be food stalls and kids’ pre-carols entertainment from 5pm, with carols starting at 6pm. All are welcome to enjoy an evening by the beach, on the Tumby Bay foreshore lawns, adjacent to the yacht club.

Smoky Bay fete
