Thirty-five members of Ceduna Seniors on the Move attended the afternoon tea for Governor-General Sam Mostyn during her visit to the town.
This was in place of the group’s usual meeting day at the end of the month.
The group, along with Ceduna Hospital and Village Auxiliary, catered for the event as a fundraiser on behalf of Ceduna Foreshore Hotel, who sponsored it.
Nearly all who attended managed to meet face to face with Ms Mostyn and were very impressed with her easy and approachable manner.
She in turn was impressed with Ceduna and all whom she met.
Organisers thank all members who provided food.
The next meeting will be the Christmas lunch on Friday 28 November at Ceduna Foreshore Hotel.
All members need to register with Bobbie Bennett or Karen Collins by Friday 21 November.
It will be the last meeting for 2025, with the first in 2026 to be on Friday 30 January.
