Cummins Show and Ag Fair

A fixture on the Cummins calendar for more than 100 years, the Cummins Showgrounds will host equestrian events, pavilion competitions and plenty of machinery to keep you enthused at the Cummins Show and Ag Fair on Saturday, October 11. Activities for the youngsters are also a hit.

Border Dash

Register now for the 35th annual Border Dash on Saturday, October 11. The iconic 13-kilometre run starts in Western Australia and crosses into South Australia to support the Royal Flying Doctor Service. After the dash, stick around for a barbecue and charity auction. Social dance

Port Lincoln Social Dance will take place at the North Shields Memorial Hall on Saturday, October 11 – doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Come and experience all styles of dance – new vogue, Latin, rock n’ roll and country dancing with DJ music. There will be a shared country supper and family fun for everyone, plus a lucky door prize. New sailing season

Sunday, October 12 marks the opening of the Coffin Bay Yacht Club 2025-26 sailing season. Join the sailing community from noon for a barbecue lunch and a beverage on the lawns, with boats set to hit the water early afternoon for the commodore’s sail past followed by a race within the bay.

Cleve Show

The Cleve Show on Saturday, October 18 is the final Eyre Peninsula show of the season, where kids can enjoy the fun activities and games on offer and adults can see all the staples of a country show.

Rodeo by the Sea

Streaky Bay will host the bulls, broncs and barrels once again at the popular Rodeo by the Sea event on Saturday, October 18 at Streaky Bay Racecourse. Gates open at 1pm and the main event starts at 4pm. The event is fully catered, with live music, retail vendors and free camping. Early bird tickets are online at rodeobythesea.com.au

Auxiliary meeting

Cleve District Hospital Auxiliary’s next general meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 21 at 10.30am in the hospital boardroom. All are welcome. Apologies to Kelly on 0409 177 562.

GEM Festival

Tumby Bay Area School will once again host the GEM Festival on the school oval on Friday, October 24 from 4.30pm to 7.30pm. The event has fun activities, food, music and celebrates gratitude, empathy and mindfulness.

Cummins garage sale and market

The Cummins Community Garage Sale & All Craft De-stash Market will take place from 9am to 2.30pm on Sunday, October 26. There will be home goods, bric-a-brac, clothing and craft de-stash.Check out the Cummins & District Enterprise Committee Facebook page for more info or explorecummins.com.au

CarnEVIL

Gardner’s Vineyard at North Shields will host the Halloween-themed CarnEVIL on Friday, October 31. Gates will open at 3pm for the Candy and Clowns Kidzone and Freaky Funhouse Marquee Maze, with a kids costume competition at 5.30pm. From 8pm the scares intensify with an R18+ late-night horror maze experience running until late. All funds raised will support Ronald McDonald House. Cowell Lions markets

Cowell Lions’ Main Street Markets for this season are scheduled for upcoming Sundays on November 2, December 7, January 4, February 1, in March to coincide with annual pyrotechnics display and April 5.

Elliston Markets

Ceduna Christmas Market
