Ladies’ day helps community

All roads led to Smoky Bay when 84 ladies attended the Smoky Bay Community Club’s annual ladies’ day on Tuesday, January 7.

They enjoyed a superb, five-course lunch, catered by Holly Dunn from The Shores at Thevenard.

A variety of entertainment was provided throughout the day – Tullie Seneca spoke about her experiences travelling the world and buying Port Lincoln-based business Travel and Cruise.

Chinta Air owner/operator Felicity Brown spoke about women in the aviation industry, her experiences as a female chief pilot and the early days of establishing the business.

Adelaide naturopath Julia Brown spoke on gut health and how people could maintain and improve their health.

The hilarious Zita Chester, from Streaky Bay, entertained the ladies with poetry and some not so ‘politically correct’ humour.

The day raised $1087 for Smoky Bay Community Club and $527 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
