Kate Zacher won the Sam Telfer Student Award at Lock Area School’s presentation day on December 10, 2024.
The other major award was to Jacinta Young, who received the Rowan Ramsey MP School Community Award.
It was in recognition of her contribution to Lock Area School’s Parent & Friends, volunteering at school events, as well as fundraising and being a positive promoter of the school to the wider community.
School principal Beth Sampson congratulated Jacinta on her award.
“Your tireless contributions to our school through your volunteer work do not go unnoticed,” she said.
Year 6 student Ella Habner won the LADS award as the best primary ambassador for the school and district.
She also received an academic award for her achievements in the year 5/6 class.
Archer Cummins won the Lock Lions Club award for the best secondary ambassador for the school and district.
