Eyre Peninsula dancers celebrated Christmas twice with a dance in the historic Lipson Hall, as well as enjoying dancing after the Tumby Bay RSL Christmas dinner function.
Dance enthusiasts from Whyalla, Cowell, Arno Bay, Port Neill, Tumby Bay, Port Lincoln and Wangary enjoyed a great social day of music and dancing.
The Just Love To Dance members and visitors took to the floor to rumba, waltz, tango, swing, blues and line dance.
Bev and Mike Bradford host a social dance at Lipson on the third Sunday of each month, and always welcome visitors to dance or simply enjoy the music.
Dancers gather at Tumby Bay RSL for line-dancing weekly each Tuesday morning.
Line dancing, both solo and partnered, rock ‘n’ roll and jive keep the energy-driven dancers on the floor.
Senior residents from local aged hostels enjoy a cuppa and a chat, and some take to the floor in a slow waltz with the dancers, when they visit.
Bev said the “spark of life” when the music began was always evident in their eyes, and was rewarding for all the dancers.
Anyone keen to reap the benefits of dance and music are welcome to contact Bev or Mike for more information on 0427 023 722.
