Musician leads Cowell carols

Musician Chris Jaensch brought his own brand of Christmas music when he travelled to lead the singing at the Cowell Christmas carols at the marina building on Sunday, December 8.

Chris has recorded several albums – some original songs and others covers to bring a Christian message.

He involved youth in the audience to provide percussion with some songs.

Twin sisters Sally Zaher, of Lock, and Bronwyn Smith, of Verran, also helped to lead the singing, while Cowell flautist Imogen Jaensch added musical accompaniment.

Cowell Lutheran Church hosted this year’s event, which was attended by 70 people.

Despite the cold, windy weather most of those present enjoyed a free ice cream cone after the carols.
