A Tumby Bay strawberry fete proved a popular place to catch up for many on Saturday.
Strawberries were served in several different ways – on meringue shells, with cream or with ice cream.
Devonshire tea was also on the menu, with others opting to enjoy baked goods from the trading table with a cup of tea or coffee.
Tumby Bay Uniting Church hosted the event, which organiser Ruth Parker said attracted a good crowd of people coming and going.
She said the church usually held a strawberry fete annually, as a fundraiser, but in 2023 had opted for a bridal parade instead.
Christine Charlton, Ross Story, Maurice Smith and Fay Southam combined to provide live music between 11am and 2pm.
Lyn Habner demonstrated weaving as well as having woven products for sale.
In addition to cakes, slices and biscuits on the trading table, there was also a Christmas stall with Christmas puddings and cakes, mince tarts and rum balls.
Children’s activities included painting and face painting.
