Cowell students to visit Canberra on a school trip next year will have part of the cost subsidised thanks to the fundraising efforts of a group of parents and staff.

The fundraising committee raised $3300 at the annual Ladies’ Stakes’ Day lunch held at the Commercial Hotel on Saturday.
More than 60 ladies got glammed up for the event with Jasmin Piggott winning the best dressed and Leah King finishing as the runner-up.
The best fascinator was won by Alexis Pengelley, with Elle Wykamp the runner-up.
Year 7, 8 and 9 students make the educational trip to Canberra every three years, however, the trip that was to be held in 2022 was delayed until 2023 due to Covid.
