Budding and established artists alike took the opportunity to learn from Adelaide artist Zinia King when she recently taught at workshops at Eyre Peninsula libraries.
Cowell Area School librarian Nicole Turner said Zinia specialised in water colours and two workshops had been held in the town – at lunchtime for students and another for others in the evening.
Kimba, Cummins, Whyalla and Port Lincoln libraries also took the opportunity to have Zinia run workshops in their towns.
“I had people pay a fee to go towards it and we subsidised it,” Nicole said.
More than 50 people took part in the two Cowell workshops.
