Sunshine draws crowd to Cowell market

Sunshine attracted a large crowd to Cowell Lions’ final street market for the spring and summer of 2023-24.

The number of stallholders was not as high as those in spring and summer, but those attending reported that they made good sales.

Cowell Lions Club president Allan Zerna said it was the final market until October 6.

“After a couple of not so good markets in February and March due to the heat, [this] was held in beautiful autumn weather,” he said.

Cowell Lions were forced to buy extra supplies due to the high demand for sausages and steak sandwiches at their barbecue.
