Lock hosts Lions zone

Lock Lions hosted the 201/C1 zone nine picnic at Lock Centenary Park this year.

Numbers were lower than usual due to conflicting commitments from some clubs.

District governor elect Steve Fawcett and his wife Ann-Marie, who is the zone eight chairwoman, flew from Stirling North to attend.

Steve gave a short talk on various Lions matters, including a training day for all Lions scheduled for May 18 or 19 at either Tumby Bay or Port Lincoln.

Cowell Lions gave a short talk on planning for the upcoming convention Coast to Country @ Cowell, which will be held on October 11 to 13.

After morning tea there was some useful networking between the members followed by a barbecue lunch provided by the host club.
