Norwood chief executive officer James Fantasia said it was always an exciting game on the club’s calendar.

“We love the chance to return to Port Lincoln, and play in our regional zone,” he said.

“It’s an important region for our club, with about 10 of our current senior men’s players hailing from the Eyre Peninsula, including our club captain Jacob Kennerley, who is from Cummins.

“For us, it’s not just about the game, but supporting the region, with hundreds of people travelling to Port Lincoln for the game itself, on top of the clinics, academies and other programs we run on the EP throughout each season.”

In the lead-up to the match, the Norwood Football Club has organised a series of clinics in towns around the EP, as well as a VIP welcome evening at Peter Teakle Wines on Friday, April 19, and a Match Day Marquee with local produce and wines.
