Santa takes to the sky on loader

Ramsey Bros novel take on Father Christmas and his reindeers won the best float in the Cleve Christmas pageant this year.

The reindeers, aka staff members, sleigh and Father Christmas were shown flying up and down – thanks to the lifting mechanism attached to a loader.

Cleve Pharmacies’ clowns, Elders Insurance inflatable Santa, and Mitre 10’s themed walkers and others on the back of their truck kept the excitement high among children, in the lead up to Father Christmas’s arrival.

Cleve District Childcare Centre had a fairy theme for its float and Santa arrived in a train.

Parade numbers were boosted by Roadrunners Car Club members in vintage and classic cars and riding motorbikes for the pageant on Friday, 19 December.

Bevan Millard won the best mobility scooter.
