
Kimba Area School’s top students, staff and community members were honoured at the presentation night on Wednesday, 26 November.
The school’s student leaders Lexi Venning and Scarlett Hunt led the award presentation evening for years five to 12.
Scarlett also won a number of awards herself, including the Ampol All Rounder Award and University of SA Award.
Tom Venning MP Community Award was won by Kimba Interchurch Council.
The Sam Telfer MP Award was presented to Nate Kassebaum.
The Australian Defence Force Long Tan award winners were Scarlett Hunt for year 12 and Ella Hunt for year 10.
The Australian Defence Future Innovators awards went to Zakk Phillips for year 12 and Zack Murdock for year 10.
Those who attended also enjoyed two performances from the school band and a scene from the school’s production earlier in the year of Grease.
Other awards were presented for each year level for academic achievement and school values.
The school’s year 12 graduating class was also presented, as were the year six class, who move into high school in 2026.
School dux from 2024 Holly Woolford was also recognised for receiving the school’s highest year 12 SACE score.
Retiring Kimba Area School staff Therese Francis and Robyn Enright were presented with flowers.

The reception to year three presentation was held in a separate ceremony, with class awards for year three students, while the younger years were given values awards.
