Yallunda Flat Show committee is getting in early to encourage people to get involved next year.
Show president Val Briese has been on the show committee for the past 15 years and said it was a great way to be involved in the community.
Meetings are held monthly, with the occasional one skipped throughout harvest.
Stacey Leech is stepping down from the role of secretary, after holding the position for the past four years – and having been assistant secretary for a couple of years before that.
Val said the committee would ideally like one person to take on the role of entertainment coordinator.
Both that role and the secretary’s position both get paid an honorarium.
However, Val said if one person took on the role of entertainment coordinator, they could still form a small committee to have others to help them.
“It just takes a bit of pressure off the show committee.”
A new vice president is also being sought as well as any other new people interested in going on the committee.
“We are looking for enthusiastic new committee members for the 2026 show,” Val said.
“Are you interested in getting involved? We’d love to hear from you.
“Everyone is welcome to join in and make a difference to our community show.”
Val encouraged any one keen to help out in any way to phone or message her on 0427 558 788.
“Let’s keep our community show going,” she said.
“It’s a great community event.”
All positions will be declared vacant at the annual general meeting, which will be held on Tuesday 17 February.
