Some Lock residents took part in a bus tour to Ungarra and Yallunda Flat thanks to a donation from CropSmart.

Group organiser Anne Siviour said the Lock Get Up and Goers mystery bus tour in October took in a garden and mosaics at Ungarra and the Yallunda Flat Show.

“We visited Ron and Judy Buchold’s in their beautiful garden with stunning mosaic walls and features wherever you looked,” she said.

“Morning tea was served inside where we were shown many of Judy’s fabulous hand-stitched and quilted articles, including a number of gorgeous quilts and Ron’s unique stoles created for his time as a minister.”

The group then travelled to the Yallunda Flat Show and enjoyed brilliant weather, after showers the previous night.

“There was so much to see, old friends, demonstrations, stalls, beautiful exhibits in the pavilion – including some by Lock locals – shearing, showjumping and so much more – the ice cream van was doing a roaring trade,” she said.

“We had a quick look around the Cummins Community Garden before arriving back at Lock.”

Anne said the group thanked Ian “Bunn” Burrows, who drove his bus for the tour, as some of those on the tour no longer drove beyond Lock.
