Musical performance

Port Lincoln Arts Council is organising a visit to Port Lincoln of international pianist Tim Barton on Friday 24 October. He is performing two concerts – the first is a Morning Melodies at Uniting Church on New West Road – doors open 9.30am – followed by morning tea. The second is an evening concert on the community piano in the Civic Centre Atrium, doors open 5.30pm. Both events will have tickets at the door, $5 by cash or card. GEM Festival

Tumby Bay Area School will once again host the GEM Festival on the school oval on Friday 24 October from 4.30pm to 7.30pm. The event has fun activities, food, music and celebrates gratitude, empathy and mindfulness.

Lipson Car Boot Sale

The Lipson Car Boot Sale returns on Saturday 25 October, where you can choose from a variety of items in time for Christmas. Gates will open at 8am for a 9am start. The event will also feature a line dancing session hosted by Lipson Love To Dance from 10am to noon. Elliston Wool Show

The 45th annual Elliston Wool Show will take place at Elliston Sports Centre on Saturday 25 October from 11am to 11pm. Get ready for a full day of fun, food and festivities, celebrating all things wool and community. For more information, contact Julie Tree or Kristy Newton on 8622 9100.

Dirt circuit racing

Ceduna Dirt Circuit Club is back for another night of high-octane action at Andoc Park, on Denial Bay Road, on Saturday 25 October. Gates open at 4pm and racing starts at 7pm. Full bar and canteen facilities available. Entry is $10 for adults, and kids under 16 get in free.

Cummins garage sale and market

The Cummins Community Garage Sale & All Craft De-stash Market will take place from 9am to 2.30pm on Sunday 26 October. There will be home goods, bric-a-brac, clothing and craft de-stash. Check out the Cummins & District Enterprise Committee Facebook page for more info or explorecummins.com.au

Denial Bay Jetty Markets

The second Denial Bay Jetty Markets event for 2025 will take place on Sunday 26 October from 10am to 2pm on the Denial Bay foreshore. There will be a variety of items for sale.

Camera Club meeting

Port Lincoln Camera Club will hold its monthly meeting on Monday 27 October at the Senior Citizens Hall at 7pm. The club welcomes new members. Further information is available online at My Photo Club or the Port Lincoln Camera Facebook page.

Happy Chat

Port Lincoln Ladies Probus Club’s Happy Chat will be on Tuesday 28 October at Port Lincoln Hotel at 10am. Bring a novelty jug.

Parkinson’s meeting

The Eyre Peninsula Parkinson’s Support Group is holding its next meeting at Cummins on Tuesday 28 October at 11am at the Cummins Yoga Salon. Any Cummins residents who may suffer with Parkinson’s disease are encouraged and very welcome to come along. Lunch will be enjoyed at the Cummins Hotel.

CarnEVIL

Gardner’s Vineyard at North Shields will host the Halloween-themed CarnEVIL on Friday 31 October. Gates will open at 3pm for the Candy and Clowns Kidzone and Freaky Funhouse Marquee Maze, with a kids costume competition at 5.30pm. From 8pm the scares intensify with an R18+ late-night horror maze experience running until late. All funds raised will support Ronald McDonald House. Cowell Lions markets

Cowell Lions’ Main Street Markets for this season are scheduled for upcoming Sundays on 2 November, 7 December, 4 January, 1 February, in March to coincide with annual pyrotechnics display and 5 April.

Ceduna Hospital and Village Auxiliary AGM

The 2025 Ceduna Hospital and Village Auxiliary annual general meeting will be hosted on Thursday 6 November at the Ceduna Anglican Church Hall from 10am for morning tea and 10.30am for the AGM, followed by a general meeting. All are welcome – come and join an enthusiastic group working together to assist the wellbeing of patients and residents of the hospital and the village. Elliston Markets

Ceduna Hospital and Village Auxiliary Christmas Raffle

Tickets for the Ceduna Hospital and Village Auxiliary Christmas Raffle are on sale and can be purchased from auxiliary members and at different business locations around Ceduna. Tickets are $2 each. First prize is $250, second prize is $150 and third prize is $100. The raffle will be drawn on Friday 12 December at the cake/produce stall out the front of the Ceduna Memorial Hall.
