Nominate agriculture industry’s best

The South Australian Grain Industry Awards are back, celebrating excellence, innovation and leadership across the state’s thriving grain sector.

Nominations are now open for the second annual event, an initiative of Grain Producers SA (GPSA).

The inaugural awards, held at the Adelaide Oval, attracted 300 guests and shone a spotlight on the depth of talent and dedication within South Australia’s grain industry.

GPSA chief executive officer Brad Perry said the awards recognised individuals driving the industry forward through their outstanding efforts.

“Whether it’s through innovation, sustainability, or leadership, these awards recognise those making a lasting difference in their communities and across the industry,” he said.

“Last year’s response was incredible, and we’re excited to once again open nominations to celebrate the best our industry has to offer.”

The awards include six categories – Grain Producer of the Year, Young Grain Producer of the Year, Innovation Award, Sustainability Award, Women in Grain Award, and Industry Impact Award.

Winners will receive cash prizes, and the Sustainability Award winner will also receive a bursary.

The South Australian Grain Industry Hall of Fame will again honour individuals, both living and posthumous, who have made lasting contributions to the state’s grain industry.

“The Hall of Fame is about recognising those who have built the strong foundations of our industry,” Mr Perry said.

“We encourage everyone – from growers and researchers to industry professionals – to consider nominating someone who has inspired them or made an impact, for consideration to be inducted.”

Nominations are open until Monday 10 November and finalists will be announced on Saturday 15 November.

The winners will be revealed at the awards gala dinner on Tuesday 3 February 2026, held alongside the GRDC Adelaide Updates.
