South Australian Country Women’s Association (SACWA) Marble Range Group members met at Cummins for its annual meeting on Wednesday, August 13.
Members of the Elliston, Tooligie, Karkoo, Yeelanna and Cummins branches were in attendance and it is always a great day to see each other again and exchange what has been happening in the past few months.
The formality of election of officers was over quickly, with all being returned to held positions.
The group president then introduced guest speaker Tamara Hall.
Tamara is a member of SACWA Kapunda branch and has been very involved with the association at state level – formerly as property officer and currently the chairperson of state finance and property committees.
She spoke about things of interest and her current role, along with her former life in the air force.
Tamara joined at age 19 and worked there for the next 21 years, on air surveillance radar, which was very captivating.
Her bright, bubbly personality left members wanting to hear more, making the meeting a very enjoyable day.
The Marble Range Group will hold its annual street trading table in Cummins on Friday, March 20, 2026, a date to mark on your calendars.
