The theme will be ‘I Made You Wonderful’ Psalm 139:14.

At Kimba the day will be hosted by Kimba Uniting Church, at 29 High Street, starting at 10.30am.

All are welcome to the service where Pastor Gary Ferguson will be the guest speaker, with time for fellowship after the service.

Cleve Uniting Church will host the town’s event at 10am, with Pastor Darrien Jones and women from the Cook Islands speaking.

Cowell Uniting Church’s service will be led by Carol Bull at 1.30pm and those attending are invited to wear colourful clothes.

The Lutheran Church will host the Tumby Bay event at 7pm.

Each year millions of women around the globe unite in prayer on the annual World Day of Prayer, with a different country sharing their faith, cultures and traditions and bringing their hopes, joys and needs to the world.

In Australia this year a contribution will be made to the Bible Society’s work in the Cook Islands that aims to reach women and children, addressing gender violence against women and girls with Bible-based trauma healing programs.
