Sheep dogs triumph in Adelaide

Wharminda woman Jennifer Horne triumphed in a tough sheepdog trial at the Royal Adelaide Show.

Of the 10 dogs and owners invited to take part in the event, only three were able to finish the course through to penning the sheep.

Two of those were Jennifer’s dogs Tyringa Redrec and Tigg, who won second and third place respectively.

The majority of the competitors either retired or ran out of time at a bridge (ramp) where the sheep stubbornly did not want to go across.

Jennifer won the open farmers’ sheep dog trial at the Wudinna Show with Tyringa Redrec and came fifth with Duke.
