Lock Get Up and Goers’ participants stayed close to home for their “get to know your local business” activities on Friday.
Group volunteer organiser Anne Siviour said they visited Lock Friendly Grocer and Cafe, where owner “Sandy” Karamjit Singh showed them around, followed by enjoying morning tea.
“Sandy showed us around and gave us an insight into the store, including freight and electricity costs of the business,” Anne said.
“Our next stop was at Lock Tyres and Traders where Fiona (Dearman) greeted us on the business’ 30th anniversary of trading.”
Lock Tyres and Traders has expanded substantially since moving to its current location two years ago.
“It was great to see the wonderful array of goods at each of the businesses – they truly are a great asset to our town,” Anne said.
