Youngsters can try their hand at golf with a junior come and try day planned at Darke Peak golf course on Sunday, June 2.
Organiser Dave Smith said there were a few children keen to try golf, and with no other nearby clubs offering junior golf, Darke Peak had decided to get something going.
He said those attending the clinic would be taught swing technique and basic golf rules by senior golfers Trevor Mason and Bradley Haines-Darby.
Dave said they would be pretty flexible regarding age, as although the 10am practice session was aimed at children aged five to 13, there were a couple of four-year-olds keen to play.
Children aged eight and older will then have the chance to play nine holes of golf at 11am, but must have an adult accompanying them.
The clinic cost of $10 includes a sausage sizzle.
The regular senior golf competition will tee off at 12.30pm.
Anyone interested in having their child attend must register by Wednesday, May 29 with Dave Smith on 0429 942 044, or Sarah Meyer on 0427 282 622.
