Cowell’s senior citizens were treated to an early Christmas lunch late last month in the Institute.

Franklin Harbour District Council hosts a lunch each year with Cowell Area School Parents and Friends catering for it.
School students and councillors served the lunch and drinks, which was compered by deputy mayor Rachel Deer.
About 125 guests attended, with Enid Rehn cutting the cake.
